An M/V Review: Drawing The Line, By Royal Pirates

Greetings to you.

Oh My…God has answered my prayers.  I am so happy for this comeback.  Royal Pirates dropped a new video on Tuesday and I am all a giddy about it.  These guys really deserve the exposure and success.

To be very honest with you, I was not ready for this.  I had to wait and calm myself down before I watch this video.  I am now calm…and now ready.  Here is video for their comeback single, "Drawing The Line"…

Let's take a look/listen…

Ok…

As expected, I LOVE THIS SONG!!!  This video was refreshing and great.  Moon's vocals are just so…so…soooooooooooo….hmmmph!!!  Their sound is classic and smooth.  The song is apparently about a guy who likes a girl who keep drawing the line…thus putting him in the "friend" zone.  The video is a variety show theme, reminiscent of such shows as the "Ed Sullivan show", "The Tonight Show" or even "American Bandstand".  They have a new look…Moon cut his hair and dyed it…and it looks great.  SooYoon's hair is also dyed and he looks great…and brighter.  James, is James lol…he always looks good.  They are really making a mess of my bias list…

All in all…I love the video…I am looking forward to more…and hopefully I get to see them live.

More reviews coming up…

Until next time…

An M/V Review: Girls Girls Girls, by Got7

Greetings to you.

Wow.  It's been 2 weeks and I haven't posted a thing.  I am so sorry for this guys. The New Year had started off pretty crappy and for the better part of those 2 weeks I had no Internet access.  Now I am back and ready to do some M/V reviews and stuff.

In keeping with my promise, I will be taking some close looks at the rookie groups (boy and girl) that will be debuting this year.  Here is our first look at Got7, a product of JYP Entertainment.  This rookie group has 2 vets, JB and Jr., better known as the JJ project from the rookie class of 2012. The other members include Mark (the oldest member), Jackson, Youngjae (yes, there is ANOTHER Youngjae lol), BamBam and the Maknae Yugyeom.  Their ages range from 20-16, which for me means my bias, if I choose one, will be of a mom/son bias…so young girls have at it lol

Anyway, they have dropped the video for their debut single, "Girls Girls Girls".

Let's take a look/listen shall we?

Ok…

This group shows promise.  I like the opening beats before the song…as well as the the beat to the song itself.  It is smooth and danceable.  This video is just an intro to the group and nothing more...showing you each of their style and talent.  The set of the video looks very similar to the set of B.A.P and A-Pink's video for Schoolooks "Mini".  Now I liked the JJ project and was hoping they come back with new music, but it seems like I will have to wait.  All in all, I enjoyed this video and is looking forward to more works from Got7.

In other news,

B.A.P has been making some noise as of late.  They have put the finishing touches to their highly anticipated full length album…yes I said FULL LENGTH ALBUM.  Then Babyz went spazz crazy last week when singer Chris Brown, who JongUp accounts as his inspiration to be an entertainer, follows JongUp on Twitter after a fan of both tweeted Brown with footage of one of JongUp's solo dance performances.  Then, B.A.P had their 2nd Baby Day fan meet (Korean fans are so lucky). Now, Bang YongGuk has posted, in his own handwriting, the track list of the aforementioned album on twitter and once again, Babyz on twitter (including myself) went absolutely insane with the title of the tracks…

I am looking forward to this album you do not understand.  This old girl's heart cannot take these 6 young men.

There are 2 other videos I am going to review this week…so be on the lookout.

Until next time…

My Top 10 List Of My Favorite Kpop Songs/Videos Of 2013...#5-#1

Greetings to you.
Ladies and Gentlemen...Here are my top 5 favorite Kpop Songs/MVs of 2013...

#5--Only U, by VIXX

This song established VIXX as a force to be reckoned with, according to me.  They are the most improved group from the rookie class of 2012 in my and many others opinion.  The video, to be honest, was reminiscent of B.A.P's Coffee shop, given the scenic atmosphere.  Ravi's rap in this song is what made him my bias *tee hee*.

#4--Shout Out, by Royal Pirates

I really am looking forward to future works by these 3 guys.  Shout out is an awesome rock song.  I love MoonChul's vocals.  Plenty eye candy...no bias yet.  If you haven't heard their music, I suggest you get on Youtube and see/hear it.

#3--The Ghost Of Wind, by Ze:a

I absolutely love love love this song.  The video is beautiful with graceful choreography.  I would like to call this my birthday song, for it came out around my birthday.  I still haven't grasp all of the members names (it took me 4 months to get all of the members of EXO), but I do know some.  I look forward to newer things by these 9 fine men.

#2--Feel Good, by CNBLUE

Feel Good was the song that solidify my love for Kpop (even though this is a K-rock song).  I came across this group and this song by chance...looking through songs on a mp3 app I have.  I had this song on an extreme loop on my iPod.  The video is cute and funny (as only a K-rock video would be).  This would have been the song I listen to the most...but this is the #2 song...

#1--One Shot, by B.A.P

Words just cannot describe how much I love this song...but I will try.  Hurricane may have been the song that made me like B.A.P, but this song, One Shot, is the song that solidified these 6 young men into my heart.  I have officially became a fan after I saw the video...which was amazing, for a K-pop song.  To say that I listen to this song a lot is an understatement.  I can honestly say that of all of the K-pop songs I have on my iPod (in playlist and in heavy rotation), One Shot is what I listen to the most.  I mean, like maybe 30 times a day...maybe more.  This will be my favorite K-pop song for a very long time.

Well there you have it.  My top 10 favorite K-pop songs/M/Vs of 2013.  What are your favorite K-pop songs from 2013?  What songs do you listen to the most?

I hope you liked my list...until next time.

My Top 10 List Of My Favorite Kpop Songs/Videos Of 2013...#10-#6

Greetings to you.

Happy New Year!!!

I would like to say for those who are reading my blog...thank you so much!!!  I really hope you are enjoying my M/V reviews.  I will be a bit more open about my love for this genre of music and give you more reviews.  I hope you receive much happiness in this upcoming year...and always ^.^ .

Now...On with the subject at hand...

Yes indeed.  In just 5 months I have become a lover of Kpop.  Even though I have been listening to it off and on over the years, this year I have become very involved in the life that is Kpop.  I have grown to care for the many groups that I am a fan of...to the point that I am actually fangirling.  I haven't fangirled like this in many years...and it is refreshing.

So within these 5 months I have accumulated many playlists on my iPod.  It took me a while and it was not an easy task, but I managed to come up with my 10 favorite Kpop songs.

And here they are...

#10--Rum Pum Pum Pum, by F(x)

When I started listening to Kpop I was so not feeling girl groups.  I mentioned this in another post, but I have found them annoying.  Despite how I felt, I remained open to the possibility to liking at least one group.  Then I heard this nice Summer diddy by F(x) and saw a glimmer of hope.  I like this group and will be getting to know them better in 2014.

#9-- 대.다.나.다.너 (G.R.8.U), by VIXX

This was the song that got me hooked on VIXX.  It is a cute pop song that was perfect for Summer...so much so it was playing heavily on my iPod.  The video showed their cute/sensitive side.

#8--Hurricane, By B.A.P

Now Coffee Shop was the song that introduced me to B.A.P.  However, Hurricane was the song that made me like them.  Both songs were great Summer songs, but Hurricane was the definition of Summer.  The video took place in Vegas, and I reminisced over my first trip out there...which I realized was 1 year too early...

#7--Ringa Linga, by TaeYang

This sexy beast came back in a big way.  Probably one of the most anticipated comebacks of 2013.  Now I have heard of G-Dragon and seen T.O.P (the other sexy beast)...but it was this video, which came out late in the year, that got me interested in Big Bang.

#6--Growl, by EXO

To be honest, I would've preferred the song "XOXO" to be in this spot....but it was never released as a single, therefore there is no video for it.  I do like Growl...it is a great Summer song.  It has a "New Jack Swing" beat to it.  There are 2 versions of the video for both subgroups (K and M(totaling 4))...I like the 2nd version best.

The Top 5 is coming up...
